Kyrie Eleison Abbey is situated on the outskirts of the settlement and dates back to the 12th Century, whilst the surrounding area is home to the impressive Ballymacaquim Castle at Killahan and the Museum and Heritage Centre at Kilflynn. The region also offers good walking and cycling opportunities as well as a range of other attractions, including the lively town of Tralee and Banna beach. Tralee itself offers a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants, whilst the beach provides fantastic water sports and swimming opportunities.
