A mile out of Bassenthwaite village and around 2 miles from the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, these five holiday cottages nestle under the Skiddaw mountain range, in peaceful surroundings where you can sit and admire the breathtaking views or stroll through glorious countryside. These delightful cottages have been carefully created from old farm buildings and each is uniquely furnished and decorated, retaining character and charm. Scattered around the courtyard, each of these cottages has shared use of the extensive grounds and also a well-equipped games room and a children's play area. With a variety of accommodation across these five cottages, there is plenty of flexibility for all party sizes, and together they can accommodate 21 people, perfect for that special family get-together. There is plenty to do in the local area. These cottages are near the Osprey Project, where visitors can observe wild ospreys in their nests. There are numerous walks from the doorstep, in Whinlatter Forest there is the Go Ape tree-top adventure course, plus walks and mountain bike trails, while the Honister Slate Mine is a fascinating destination at any time of year.
