Access to the properties are via a communal pathway which passes through a pretty wildflower meadow and landscaped courtyards, offering you an opportunity to soak up your surroundings before relaxing into your evening. Each property houses a Smart TV, a tablet which can control the Sonos music system (and contains a wealth of information about the local area), and a roaring woodburning stove which offers a sense of tranquillity during a winter's evening. If you can tear yourself away from this quaint setting, take a stroll into the scenic village of Hayfield which is a 1.5 miles/ 30 minute walk down the Sett Valley Trail. The village can also be accessed by car in 5 minutes or by using the local bus service. Here you will find a quintessential Derbyshire village with a babbling brook, picturesque cricket pitch, pubs and restaurants all serving the finest quality local ales and produce. Hayfield is the gateway to Kinder Scout and is the starting point for numerous spectacular walks. The Mass Trespass of 1932 took place at Hayfield which ultimately led to the creation of the nation’s National Parks. Hayfield was also used as the beautiful location for the BBC TV drama The Village. You can also venture into the nearby town of New Mills where you will be further delighted by the selection of bars, pubs and restaurants that await, ensuring that all tastes are catered to, as well as a number of shops for picking up the essentials.
